WAP200 2.0.1.3 firmware

Just downloaded the latest firmware for theWAP200 wireless AP. When I unzipped it, I got 2 *.img files. The first is "WAP200-FW-2.0.1.3-ETSI-K9.img" while the second is "WAP200-FW-2.0.1.3-K9.img". What is the difference between the two? No Readme file(thanks Linksys!!) so not clear which image to flash.

Did you find an answer to this? I noticed the same thing and really don't want to screw the wireless unit up but would like the latest firmware....

As you dont have the Readme file,use the "WAP200-FW-2.0.1.3-K9.img"(second one) as it is the latest one.

So what's the "WAP200-FW-2.0.1.3-ETSI-K9.img" file??

Both .img files are the firmware files .Depends on which Version of AP you have you can select the firmware file and then upgrade the firmware on your Router. Login to the setup page of AP and check the firmware of your Router.

My WAP200 does not have a version number. There is no mention of various hardware revisions within the release notes or why there are two firmware files for this AP device.

The file named "WAP200-FW-2.0.1.3-ETSI-K9.img" probably has something to do with European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI)

both are firmware for wap200 and the one with "ETSI" is for european use only.

software for APs has many differences for each country or region:

for example - each country has different number of channels etc...
