WAP200e as a bridge???

I have 2 WAP200E and am trying to set them as a bridge. I have MAC loaded on both, same SID, broadcasting for setup, I have great signal on both sides of the bridge and they are overlapping (signal from one overlaps the other unit). I can not get a ping to go across the bridge or anything  else for that matter.

WHAT AM I MISSING!!!!

PLEASE help.

It can't be done....?  Linksys states it CAN be done in each document I read. Otherwise why there would be a web interface to configure that?
I bought that device just for that purpose!!!

Re: WAP200e as a bridge???

It did work for me just today. After fideling with it for a while, I was really getting destresses because of your post. But I kept on trying. I had to set them both on BrigedMode, fixed the Channel. It also worked with the SSID hidden. Obviously both APs have to have the same security Settings. Aou also have to use the MAC Address for BridgeMode which is shown in the Statuspage under the Performance Tab. Also after applying all settings I had to power off both units and Coldboot them so the setting would take effect. But after that it worked flawless! Regards Paul

Re: WAP200e as a bridge???

i just bought a pair of these APs to use them as wireless bridge

Im hapy to hear that they finally work, i have a some doubts:

1.In wich way are the mac addresses need to be set on each AP?  Each AP need to be configured with the oter AP MAC?

2. What do you mean by coldboot?

Thanks in advance, have a nice day

Hi,

The WAP200E is now being handled by the Cisco Small Business Support Community.
