i am trying to access the set up page per my wireless WAP54G access point so that i can upgrade the firmware but i can not. all firewalls are off including anti virus ..... i have check tcp/ip properties which are set to automatic.... yes i have tried to connect the access point directly to the my computer via Ethernet cable. then went into internet explorer to access 192.168.1.1all and it gave me the following information:

IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 68.197.116.241
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.252.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 68.197.116.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 167.206.245.76
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 167.206.245.130 & 167.206.245.129

i even tried accessing the default gateway (68.197.116.1) above and that does not bring me to the setup page of my access point. please help

Re: WAP54G Setup page inaccessible

In order to access your WAP54G you MUST know its actual IP. Having set it to DHCP makes that a little difficult.

There are 2 ways you can find the IP.

1. Check the DHCP server and find the MAC address of the WAP54G and its associated IP.
2. Get an IP scanner.

Re: WAP54G Setup page inaccessible

It seems that the WAP54G is already configured by some other IP settings .....
So reset the Access Point for few seconds .... after reset ..... assign Static IP 192.168.1.50 subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 & gateway 192.168.1.245 to the Local Area Connection ....
Access the setup pageof Access Point using http://192.168.1.245 ... leave username blank & in password use admin .. .....

I have been tryin to access the setup page, and after I enter the password as admin, it goes to a totally blank, white screen! The information does not pop up. I have done this before several months ago and it was no problem. What gives?
