Hello ALL,
After reading the thread, I noticed that all have the same problem but have not tried the solution provided by brickmonkey. IF you guys have any update here please post.
Thanks

I'm already running firmware 1.0.01 b94 and (still) have this problem.
Just had contact with Linksys and they just don't seem to understand this problem...
Their advice was to send the AP's back and get one out of the business line (since this is customer line), while our reseller told us this was the one we needed when we tried to order more WAP4400N's (which were out of stock)...
Explaining that everything works as expected when using DHCP didn't help.

new update: linksys is rebuilding our config/network environment to test this in their lab.
hope they find a fix :-)

Everyone is waiting for some kind of acknowledgement of the many problems of the WAP610N, it needs a new firmware but there has been no mention from anyone at Cisco of this happening or that they will do anything at all about it.
I wish I could take mine back for a refund.
I hope they are actually testing it in a lab... shouldnt be too hard one would think given the problems occur multiple times each day for others.

I have the identical problem, Cisco Tech Support have just told me that it is not a known issue and recommended that I upgrade the firmware, unfortunately I am already using the firmware provided on the Linksys website. Very disappointing.

Same problem. These units worked great for about a year, then this problem started.
I have to reset the AP's often. Anywhere from 1-2 times a day to every 2-4 days.
It is weird, because some people will connect and one person can't, then I have to reset the AP and intturupt all the people that are working just fine, to get this one person connected.
After resetting it, by using the web interface, and hitting the save button on any menu screen, once it saves, then the one person can connect, and those already on it reconnect fine.
I have noticed the default gateway missing in the status window, but this does not effect the ablity for people connected to access the interenet.
I am running two units, setup with static IP's, the network is DHCP.
I have updated firmware, overwriting the current firmware with the same version of 1.0.0.1 (94)
I made sure the N and G SSID's are unique among the 2 AP's.
Using WEP security, 40 / 64 (10 hex digits)
* the WEP key is the same for both AP's, but don't think that is an issue. I ran two Wireless G AP's for years that way.
WMM is set to background, no sure if this could effect a connection issue.

I also experienced the same problem, please help to solving this problem as soon as possible so that consumers are not disappointed to buy this product

Have had the same problems with multiple units, but have a support call scheduled with a cisco engineer for this afternoon, so will repost to tell you what they had to say.
I won't ever recommend one of these again if they don't give me a reasonable fix today.
