i am looking for a Access point which can support minimum one data port also.
Scenario:-
one of my client required wireless all over the bldg. and each room having data point. but if we fix the Acess point, norm AP widoesnt have extra data port. please suggest access point which supports data port
Well if you can specify the meaning of “access point which supports data port”. Does that means having an extra ethernet port on the Access Point? If that is the case then in there is no Access Point available with such feature in Linksys/Cisco.
1. The "proper" solution would be to install an ethernet switch for ethernet ports and connect the access point to one of them.
2. Otherwise, you could also use any wireless router and set it up as wireless access point. Depending on the router you then have 3 or 4 additional wired ports and an access point at that place.
