linksys wap4400n password [help]

Can anybody help me, please. I bought wap4400n today, plug in cable with switch, manual set ip address for my comp. to 192.168.1.11, I can access to 192.168.1.245, i think no problem with ip address but I can't login to AP wap4400n with default password admin/admin. I try to hold reset button above 10s but nothing received, too! Anybody can help me? thanks very much!

Hi.Try holding the reset button on the WAP4400N for 30 seconds.After the upgrade,reset and reconfigure the AP.Please report back whether it works or not.

Thank you for reply! i found the problem, it's AP not connected to switch ! I'm use LAN network, the AP yesterday i was connected via 192.168.1.245 is another AP in network But can you tell me about this problem?: the ethernet led light up but not steady, light up and down! Because that i can't connect to AP, not answer when i ping to 192.168.1.245, i try to replace ethernet cable by another but not work, too! I think maybe this AP has been broken!

As with ALL new equipment being added to a network you should always configure the new equipment before putting it on the network. Remove the device from the network and connect directly to it via an Ethernet cable from your client. Now configure your AP as per the instructions. Regards Fred

I have an xp dell laptop connected directly to the 4400n.  When I try to access 192.168.1.245 I get "internet explorer could not open the search page.  If I connect the 4400n to the lan it works as an open network.  So I can not access the log in screen to change the parameters.  I held the reset button to start over with no effect.  Any ideas?

Have you checked the IP address of your client machine, it should be on the same subnet as your WAP4400n.

IE 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254 but not 192.168.1.245 the the subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0

I have taken control of a 4400n also.   Still trying to get the password, but noticed the IP address has not changed from what it was set to.   It was set to 192.168.1.240 and when I keep resetting to factory default it stays there.   As well the password does not go back to default.
