Configuring WAG200 ADSL router as modem, to assign public ip to a machine

How can a configure my WAG200 ADSL Gateway to act as modem, so that instead of using DMZ or port-forwarding, a PC in my LAN can get real IP?

My problem is to assign WAN IP to a RV042 VPN router behind WAG200, so that I can create sit-to-site VPN using AG241 at one end and RV042 behind WAG200 at other end, i.e.,

AG241 ADSL (PPOA)<== INTERNET ==> WAG200 ADSL (PPOA) ==> RV042

Thanks.

You may set the WAG200 to bridge mode only and then disable the DHCP capability of the device this will allow you to get WAN IP address to the RV042.  I believed that RV042 doesn't have PPPoA option.  Are you using static IP address or PPPoA for internet connection?

Re: Configuring WAG200 ADSL router as modem, to assign public ip to a machine

Thanks for you help, my problem is solved, as you told me, I put my WAG200G in bridging mode only (Encapsulation Type: which in basic setup at router settings page) and disabled the DHCP. Now I am getting WAN IP at RV042 WAN1 port.

For IP, I have dynamic IP, for which I used DynDns. The tunnel is succefully created between AG241 => (WAG200G) => RV042.

Thanks a lot for your time and cooperation.
