Error on WAG120N

Hi all, I have a problem in some of my client that using WAG120N. Why some clients device that connect on this device sometimes can't connect to the internet and must restart the router to make it work again? What is the maximum number of client device can connect to wag120n in the same time? Thanks before.

I suggest resetting, update the firmware (if needed) and reconfigure this router. Just make sure internet is stable behind the modem.

The internet connection is stable. My client has called the ISP's technicians and the result was no problem with the internet connection. Are you sure updating the firmware fix the problem? I've read in some article it didn't solve the problem. How abut that? Thanks.

Re: Error on WAG120N

Firmware updates may include bug fixes and functionality enhancements to the router/modem.  But after successful firmware upgrade you need to reset the router/modem. It is recommended to reset the router/modem once. Steps to reset the router:

Push the reset button on router/modem for 30 seconds, turn off the router/modem wait for 30 seconds and then power it on. Power light should blink when you perform the reset process.

After reset, reconfigure the router/modem and then check the connectivity status.…

Try the following settings:

# Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the WAG120N setup page.

# Then go to the Wireless tab, keep network mode as mixed, make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..

#Adjust the following advanced wireless settings:

~~ Lower the beacon interval from 100 to 75

~~ Lower the fragmentation threshold from 2346 to 2306

~~ Lower the RTS threshold from 2347 to 2307

Then reconnect the wireless network and then check the connectivity status..

Hi. What is the main issue of this internet connection problem you have on this router? Wired or wireless? As suggested above, you can try to do the upgrade for the firmware. As for wireless connection issue, try channels 1,3,6,9.

I suggest calling technical support for this if they can still replace the device. I guess this device is defective.
