No access allowed to 192.168.0.1 with my WCG200 ver 2

Hello:

I just purchased a used WCG200 ver 2 modem router. I wanted to setup my secured wireless. Typed in 192.168.0.1 (my Default Gateway confirmed) and when I put "admin" as the password and leaving username blank, it would not allow me access.

When I type in admin as the password, a dialog box popups with, "A username and password are being requested by http://192.168.0.1. The site says: 'Linksys WCG200 ver.2' "

My WCG200 ver 1 had no problem accessing this site.

I can't find any information on this site talking to this issue.

Please advise.

Thanks,

The Default Username and the Password for WCG200 is "admin". When it prompts you for the Username and Password type admin in the username and password filed and click OK. It will give you the access to your Router setup page and you can make the changes on your Router.

Hi:

Thanks...I tried that and it just kept giving me the login prompt again. With the same message: A username and password are being requested by http://192.168.0.1. The site says: "Linksys WCG200 ver.2"
