WAG 320N Line State

Hi there! Where I can see Line State in WAG 320N? Line States like Latency Type, SNR Margin US/DS, Line Attenuation US/DS, Power US/DS etc.

I have found just Downstream and Upstream Rate in Status/DSL Connection.

Sorry for my english. :smileyindifferent:

Re: WAG 320N Line State

You won't find Latency Type and SNR Margin information available on WAG320N.

To get these information you can try to install DD-WRT firmware on WAG320N, but this will void the warranty of your router.

Re: WAG 320N Line State

You can acces information like:

  • DSL SNR
  • DSL attenuation
  • DSL transmit power
  • etc

via the 'hidden' page http://192.168.1.1/setup.cgi?next_file=adsl_driver.htm

were 192.168.1.1 is the ip of your router.

There is no any  DD-WRT firmware for WAG320N.

Re: WAG 320N Line State

Using RouterStat 6.6 (free programme) will monitor SNR, Attenuation, and power on the WAG320n - configure the page for option 1 when capturing data - and this seems to work fine.

Page for capture below - where router address is default.

http://192.168.1.1\setup.cgi?next_file=adsl_driver.htm

What it shows is that this Box appears sensitive to line separation of the incoming DSL and perhaps USB power side? These are at opposing sides of the box (by design?).  Lesson seems to be not to tidy cables in a bunch as playing a Vid on USB caused 2dB interference on SNR - moved cable 6" and the SNR increased 1dB and was very stable. Could be cause of others issues with stable connection if on the edge of target SNR profile on the DSL.

Hope this helps.
