WAG120N new firmware 1.00.16 bugs/questions [ Edited ]

Here too the same. I think there is some bug with the FW itself. So dont waste time in updating the FW repeatedly. But i can see that there is some amendment done with respect to the wireless driver. Before, the unit becomes unstable after sometime if operated in MIXED mode. Now there isnt such an issue. It works fine with the mixed mode but i dont find any noticeable wifi speed difference. I have transferred files wirelessly from lappy to my desktop and got a speed transfer of 3.5 - 4 Mb/s which is better (according to me) because previously i was getting around 2-3mb/s speed in b/G mode. Even now i cant say that the speed will always be around 4 Mb/s. It can go below this sometimes. But i can say that this is the max. for this unit for this FW, unless they release a better FW with a better wifi driver...

I just updated my firmware everything is fine (2 PCs and 2 mobile phones) except my "Xbox 360S " ... I can't connect to my wireless network with it no matter how hard i try.. Anyone having the same issue or have any ideas .. ?

Change your wireless security to WPA instead of WPA/2-mixed, that worked for me.

Oh thank you, I disabled QoS and now navigating in the modem console is faster, also my speedtest results have increased too!

I think there is a bug in QoS because it cant handle the traffic and slows down the router, Note to Linksys!!!!

Did you guys check if it was really the version 1.00.16?

I downloaded here, and i got this file:

WAG120N_AnnexA_ETSI_FW_1.00.12.bin

and i contacted linksys support, and they said the lastest firmware for WAG120N is the 1.00.12, and that the website info is wrong.

Maybe im unlucky and they changed it? Idk.

If anyone still have the file and could upload, i want to try and flash to see if my disconnect problem stops

I did, and downloaded that file, but the zip contain the 1.00.12 firmware version.

again, the file name inside the ZIP file:

WAG120N_AnnexA_ETSI_FW_1.00.12.bin

I contacted the online support, and the person said the last firmware available for the WAG120N is the 1.00.12, and that the website info is wrong.
