I have just bought a WAG160N, no problem setting it up and it seems to work fine. I have been trying to reach it from the internet ('block anonymous requests' is not selected) so when I type in the address using port 8080, I get a page right back with three square characters at the top left hand corner.
Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for your reply Dibbler, I am trying to get access using my dyndns host name e.g http://xxxx.dyndns.org:8080
I have configured the router as per the link you kindly referenced for me when I first set it up, when I type in the address above, I get a new web page, but it's blank apart from three square characters at the top left of the page. I have managed to get ftp access to my network drive attached to the router, so I know it's letting stuff through, I just can't see the admin pages of the router.

Just in case anyone is following this thread, I've sorted myself out. The problem was that I was trying to reach my router using http:// and not https:// once I used https:// and got the router to do a handshake with the pc I was using, I got through and all was ok then.
port 8080 requires a secure connection (https).

The first of my string of disappointing discoveries about this rubbish product was the DDNS issue.
You CAN access the admin pages via the ip address but not the DDNS address.
Both ask for credentials. IP passes you onto the router management. DDNS address redirects me to websearch.linksys.com....
I have had this confirmed by linksys support, and no fix has been made...I got the router replaced even...and now am working towards a replacement product

Thanks for the tip about https://
However when I follow it I type in my User Name and Password correctly then it fires up a strange search page with the URL
Any ideas folks???
