You need to hard reset your Linksys Gateway...
To reset the Gateway press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your Gateway, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now check the lights...
Leave a computer connected to the Ethernet Port on the Gateway and check if you get a valid ip address -
Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt...A black box will appear(Command Prompt)...In the Command Prompt window type ipconfig and press 'Enter'...Look for Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection IP Address , Subnet Mask and Default Gateway...
IP Address should be 192.168.1.x, Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1...If you get a valid IP Address then you should be able to re-configure your Gateway.
If you get an IP Address of 169.254.x.x then you should disable any firewalls, security softwares on the computer and check the IP Address, if you still get an invalid ip address then -
Click on the Start button >>> Settings >>> Control Panel >>>Network Connections- Right click on the icon for Local area connection and go to properties- On the 'General' tab select 'Internet Protocol TCP/IP' and click on the Properties button- Select 'Use the following IP address'- Provide IP Address - 192.168.1.5, Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway - 192.168.1.1, click on Ok button to Save and Click on "Close" on main Properties window...
See if you get the above mentioned IP Address and ping the router - type ping 192.168.1.1 and press Enter, if you get 4 replies, then upgrade your router and re-configure it...See how things work for you...

I am desperate with my WAG54G2:
- It disconnects all the time.
- The connection limit is about two rooms away not more. That is very low range.
- It drops the wi-fi from time to time.
What to do?

I have Linksys Wag54g2 Annex A.
All Lights are green ( Wireless, Dsl & Internet); but I can't connect via my wireless router !!
Although my Linksys router is visible in network connections.
The strange thing is that was happened suddenly and during my wireless connection !!
Should I update the Firmware? Or what?
Thank you
