Before I suggest you for any troubleshooting steps I would like to ask few questions. Like WCG200G ver.2 resets every time means it gets shut down and reboots or the connectivity gets disconnected…
If the gets disconnects from the netwrok athen try the following combinations of settings:
# Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Gateway setup page.
# Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page). Here is the link for determining and setting up the correct MTU size: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=
Then check the status..

sorry, its WCG200 only, no G behind
The modem resets(reboot) itself and only the DS light is blinking, and most of the time i have to restart the power in order for it to be working again.

Addon : I have 2 WCG200 and both faced the same problem, so i doubt it would be so coincidental to have 2 defects.
my gateway page is 192.168.0.1
There is no MTU anywhere found in the gateway page.
I have read in some forums about firmware upgrade and im not quite sure about those.
internet works fine using wired connection, but when wireless is used it reboots and i have to manually restart the modem.

Try the following combinations of settings:
# Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.0.1 that will open up the Gateway setup page.
# Then Click on wireless Tab select and Channel to 6, 9, and 11. Click Save Settings.
#Adjust the following advanced wireless settings:
~~ Lower the beacon interval from 100 to 75
~~ Lower the fragmentation threshold from 2346 to 2306
~~ Lower the RTS threshold from 2347 to 2307
Then check the status..

doesn't work. i've tried it before and it still reboots the modem.
add on, if i am using just wireless, it sometimes works fine for a couple of minutes and it reboots itself afterwards.
if i am using both wired and wireless, it resets almost under 10seconds. light surfing wont reset it as fast as downloading apps using an iphone.

In this case you can try to reset the Gateway once and configure it again.. Once after the reconfiguration then chck the connectivity status.. Second try to lower down the wireless security level and then check...

problem : i have already tried it for the second time and even removed the password, but it still reboots.
are there any firmware updates to this or is it just all WCG 200 having a problem with wifi?
if there is an update, where can i find it? by calling the ISP and getting them to "push" an updated firmware to my modem?
