wag160n how do I find out which hardware version i have

Hi,

I just purchased a wag160n - UK version.

I was just looking on the linksys site to download the latest firmware for the device and it asks me which hardware version i have - v1 or v2. I don't know and I can't see any references to hardware version on the unit itself.

Can anyone tell me how I can find out the hardware version please?

Thanks

You can look under the modem for the sticker. If it doesn't show any version number, it should be V1. You can also check your firmware version by connecting to your modem console by http://192.168.0.1 using admin as username and password, if your firmware revision begins with a 1, it means you have V1.

Thanks

firmware is 1.00.09 - so it's v1 hardware I guess.

Yes its an Version 1 Router. So you need to select Version 1 and download the firmware for your Router. The Current Firmware version is : Ver.1.00.15.

Click Download 3.30 MB the firmware for your router ( Annex A Firmware ).

Click Download 3.29 MB the firmware for your Router ( Annex B Firmware).

If you have a Annex A Router, then you need to download Annex A Firmware, If its B Then download B. Make sure you don't get confused in downloading the firmware. If you download a wrong version firmware and try to upload it then it might make your router go bad.

Might not be a good idea to be recommending the .15 firmware to people, considering the bugs reported for it.
