My WVC54GCA turns off after a few minutes I turn it on.

My WVC54GCA turns off after a few minutes I turn it on. All functions work correctly while on. The camera (manufactured 04/2008) had no problems for three years long but now it fails: it just turns off. The power adapter works correctly so, I suppose, the problem is in the camera.

Someone can help?

Before suggesting any troubleshooting steps, I would like to enquire about few things:-

1] Does it gets heated up?

2] Does it stop functioning when it gets turned off?

3] Did you try to use a different power adapter with the camera with the same power specifications?

1] Does it gets heated up?                                                                    NO, it does not: every thing looks as usual.

2] Does it stop functioning when it gets turned off?                              YES, the camera is effectively off, nothing works.

3] Did you try to use a different power adapter with the camera with the same power specifications?

           NO, I just verified the correct functioning of the adapter with a different camera and it does work. However I will try

           a second adapter on the failing camera and let you know.

  Hi vai_fan,  I've powered the camera with a different (surely efficient) power adapter. The camera, after a few minutes, turns off. So the failure should be in the camera. Thank you again for your help.
