HOW DO I CHECK THE WVC54GCA IS WORKING ON OUTSIDE INTERNET NETWORK FROM MY HOME COMPUTER? I CAN CONNECTED TO WWW.CAMERA.LINKSYSNET.COM WITH WVC54GCA VIEW VIDEO IN HOME WIFI. THANKS.

Check your Internet Ip address from your router. On your browser go to http://WAN_IP_Address: port
1050 is the port that you set on the camera which is also the forwarded port on your router.

I have a similar problem, but with the internal webaccess, meaning on the internal network.
When trying to access the build-in server in the camera via my HTC Desire Android mobile, this works just fine and configuration is perfect.
When trying to watch the live video feed via htc android 2.2 the top header just freezes and it shows that the load of the page/video feed gets stuck on just the header.
Apparently this feature is non-compliant with android/mobilphones...?
Is anybody aware of a release of the firmware to the camera itself that solves this problem or aware of any workaround that does the trick?

If you install "Tiny Cam Monitor Free" on Android you can then add the WVC54GCA.
Simply select Manage Cameras -> Advanced settings -> Edit JPEG image address and enter the URL to your camera with the /img/video.mjpeg part added. So the URL for your camera would look something like this:
where 123.456.789.0 is the internet TCP/IP address for your camera
1111 is the port number for your camera (this port must be open and forwarded in your router to reach it from the outside world)
If your ISP uses a DynamicIP address then your IP address from the internet will change from time to time (mainly whenever you reboot your router). If this is the case you can configure your router to use a dynamic host service such as DynDNS (see www.dyndns.org). Basically whenever your routers IP address changes it will automatically update the DynDNS people. The DynDNS people then give you a web URL which maps to whatever your IP address is. So for example on your phone you could enter:

Do you know the setup with no-ip.com. I put IPS adress.
But I could'nt configure my routeur. Which section nat, routage etc.. you need to modify? Which parameters?

If you can't configure your router properly to forward the ports, it just won't work from the outside. This is the issue with many people since there are so many different firewalls, cable modems, DSL modems and routers.
TZO is doing some beta testing on a new piece of software that can avoid the port forwarding issues. They are currently taking applications if you are interested, it's free and they are providing free TZO service to customers that help test the new IP Camera software

i have spent hours reserching and setting up the camera only to find out it won't work with TZO on the WWW. I have done the port forwarding and set the camera to fixed IP address as per the tutorials . I am on Centruylink DSL with Linksys WRT54GS2 router. Is there any way to make this work or have I completely wasted my money and my time?

I need some help.
I have a WVC54GCA and was using a WRT54G router. I use DYN DNS supplied host name http://harmonvlog.org/ to access my camera. It has been working fine until I purchased a new Linksys router. (E2500)
Now, I cannot access the camera. The only thing that changed is that I had to rename the router (was linksys - default) to something new b/c Linksys support cold not get me connected without changing the router name and password.
I set up port forwarding on the router and put in my informaiton on the DDNS tab in the router set up. I've refreshed my IP address through DYN DNS.
When I try to access the web address above, I get
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to harmonvlog.org
When I put in the IP address,
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to xxx.xxx.x.xxx
Any help would be appreciated. Step by step would be very helpful. I've had this working for a few years and rely on this a great deal, so getting it working is important. Again, any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
