Using the 192.168.1.115 IP address I can ot get into the camera.

Hello,

Just installed the WVC54GC WEB Cam and it sees the network both wired and wireless.  But if I try to get into the camera to update the firmware and make changes to the settings I get the "Cannot find server" error message.  I used ...

http://192.168.1.115 but it's not working. I can get into my 80211G Linksys router with no issues.   Any ideas what is going on here?

Nevermind.  Figured it out ;-).  The IP was not 115.  Looked it up on my router and then was able to get into it.

Can you explain how you figured out the ip address? im having the same problem. 192.168.1.115 does not load for me

i figured it out for anyone havin similiar problems....


goto 192.168.1.1 login to your router
click status
click local network
click dhcp client table

and it will list all the things available by ip

just bougt the wire less G RTZ internet cam , the helpdesk not to reach in netherlands, total overworkt.  everyting installed bij typing 192.168.1.115 no connection possible.  in the display of the cam stays that ip adress.

i am sick of this **bleep**, including that helpdesk.

i bring back the cam to the shop and get my money back as the promissed.

i will wait till the new sijstem comes of wireless USB  that will be very friendly for installing the same as BLEUTOOTH that is also logical friendly software.

the old **bleep** as they use now, please throw it in the garbish.

better waith for the new sijstem than put 10 ours of installing old **bleep** now.

corrie, i think there's nothing wrong with the cam you purchased.

you can try to access it by http://192.168.1.115:80 or http://192.168.1.115:1024.

unfortunately, you already returned it.
