WVC80N motion "Set Sensitivity Area" bug

Setting up my WVC80N everything seems to be working, except the ability to select the area of the frame to detect motion.  The "Set Sensitivity Area" button brings up a blank window with a purple background with no controls or instructions.  The browser (FireFox 13.0) shows the page source to have JavaScript, and JavaScript is enabled.

Anyone have this experience or suggestions on what's happening?

Thanks,

Dave

Are you experiencing the same problem if you're using a different browser? Have you tried doing the same thing on another computer? This is to isolate the problem.

Re: WVC80N motion "Set Sensitivity Area" bug

With reference to your concern you can Use the Content Settings dialog to manage the following settings: cookies, images, JavaScript, plug-ins, pop-ups, location sharing, and notifications. Follow the steps below to adjust these settings:

  1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click Show advanced settings.
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings button.
  5. Cookies are files created by websites you've visited to store browsing information, such as your site preferences or profile information. They're allowed by default. It's important to be aware of your cookie settings because cookies can allow sites to track your navigation during your visit to those sites.
  6. Images are allowed by default. To prevent images from displaying, select "Do not show any images."
  7. JavaScript is commonly used by web developers to make their sites more interactive. If you choose to disable JavaScript, you may find that some sites don't work properly.
  8. Plug-ins are used by websites to enable certain types of web content (such as Flash or Windows Media files) that browsers can't inherently process. They're allowed by default.
  9. Pop-ups are blocked by default from appearing automatically and cluttering your screen.

Re: WVC80N motion "Set Sensitivity Area" bug

I have the SAME ISSUE on the camera WVC80N  . On the  "motion detection'  tab, .. when i click on 'Set sensitivity area". All i get is a large purple screen, with Nothing in the window. Tired using firefox, Safari, and Chrome. Nothign works. Current sensitivit is the **bleep**s. Really need to properly access this SET SENSITIVITY window. to increase it.   This Camera came directly from Cisco's online home store.

Any ideas????

Re: WVC80N motion "Set Sensitivity Area" bug

You might need to try to use another computer just to isolate this problem. It is unusual that two cameras were having the same problem; there’s a possibility that there might be a problem with the two cameras since you have already tried different firmware and both were having the same problems.
