Cisco Connect and Different Subnet / IP Address Range - It Works!

I was curious if I could use the Advanced UI on the router (, configure a different IP address range, and still use Cisco Connect.


Yes this works.


From the router UI ( I configured the IP address to be (for example)

I saved settings. The router rebooted. I power-cycled the router.


I connected my PC to the wifi network again, and went to (for example) and was able to log into the router UI. It picked up the new address and it is assigning DHCP addresses from this new range.


I started Cisco Connect software, and it found the router. It was easy.


The Router Details page shows everything correctly.


Success - advanced UI plus Cisco Connect.
