yes. you may download the cisco connect software from this site http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys/E3000

select download, then version , wait for the screen to load, the link is there. or you may download it directly from here

Open the router's web interface. Launch your browser and go to this address http://192.168.1.1 go to Wireless>Wireless Security.

You can easily create one. Just open Cisco Connect, install it if you have not done so.

Click on Router Settings, then select Update or Create Key. You will need a flash drive to accomplish this.

Make sure to back up the contents of the flash drive as the Easy Setup Wizard will delete all its content.

Re: How to get Cisco Connect if I already own different Linksys products...

I just installed an E1000 after I returned a defective one. This one finally self-installed but I had to coddle it through an ethernet cable to get it to recognize the wireless connection. But Cisco Connect.exe did not install, nor did easy link access. I also see that the router already has a user name (meaning this is a remanufacture?), so I have no access to the authentication key, the user name or the password. The hardware version is 2.1, which I don't see in the downloads in support. Help please. I am deeply disappointed and ready to return this unit as I did the previous one.
