Problems installing the software for AM10 Valet Connector

I cannot the CISCO Valet Connector setup,  the error details are:

Error description: Install Service
Model name: AM10
Operating system: Windows XP SP 3
Software version: 1.2.10104.2

Why don't you try to update the drivers of the adapter instead?

Before I suggest you for any troubleshooting steps, I would like to ask a question. Is the computer being updated with Windows XP (SP3) over Windows XP (SP2) or its being installed with original Windows XP (SP3)? It it’s being updated then updates then try to install the Windows XP (SP3) with the licensed version. Then try to install the adapter and check the connectivity status.
