DMA2200 and NAS200

hi,

i have bought the DMA2200 and after a long strugle i got it to connect to my Vista Home Premium Laptop, on the laptop i have added the folders i want the media center to look in, including the ones on my NAS200 hdd. now on the DMA2200, i cant find those folders, all i can see are the pics i have on the the laptop. there are no videos whatsoever appearing on the DMA2200 and i cant see the NAS200 folders. can anyone please help me with this?

PS, when i open tasks on the DMA all i can find are the folder that are on the laptop HDD, and even though i have plenty of videos on that laptop still none of them appear on the DMA library

Re: DMA2200 and NAS200

Enable Guest Login and Media Server on your NAS200 so that you'll be able to see the contents from your DMA2200. You need to do this because the DMA2200 don't have the capability to log you into a network storage that has user account restriction.

Hope this helps. :smileyhappy:

The DMA2200 does not support the DivX codec, you'll have to use the utility FourCC Changer to change the coding of the DivX video file to "xvid" so that the DMA2200 can play the files. So when you run the FourCC changer just select your video files and replace DIVX with xvid then click apply.

Cheers.

Re: DMA2200 and NAS200

I have used the 4c changer which takes less than a second to change the DIVX file to a XVID file. The question is if this is so easy why cannot Linksys not provide a software upgrade to incorporate this automatically. It appears that Linksys may have given up on the DMA2200, which is a pity as it is a good product. :smileysad:
