Linksys WGA54AG Wireless Gaming Adapter

I can't get my Linksys WGA54AG Game Adapter to connect to my 2wire 2701HG-B through ATT DSL on my xbox live.  I have tried configuring this through the router as well as through xbox 360.  Xbox 360 finds my 2wire router.  It asks for my security - I type it it - It tries to connect - connection fails.

On the linksys setup page when it is connected directly to my router.

Fireware: 2.05, Feb. 16, 2006 - just updated it yesterday with the lastest.

SSID is correct.  Set to infrastructure - channel 6.

Network security Enabled.  Network password typed into key 1 - which automatically copies it into key 1 2 3 4.  Default transit key set to 1.

Status Disconnected

Underneath - Select one of the available networks below and click Connect to join the network.

It shows my network.  The correct channel. 100% signal strength.  Mode 802.11g - Infra.

I click the radio button.  Click connect.  Says Successful will return in 8 seconds.  Returns to page.  Status: Disconnected.

Advanced tab:

IP Address - Obtain automatically

Transition Rate - Automatic

Frame Burst - Enabled

Authentication - Auto (Default)

Cloning - Automatic

I can not get this **bleep** thing to connect.

On my router page - I'm set at channel 6.  WEP-Open

I"m not sure if I need to enable - Public Routed Subinterface or Public Proxied Subnet (NAT/Routed).  Right now the radio button to enable is not selected.  Someone please help

Re: Linksys WGA54AG Wireless Gaming Adapter

So the scenario  you explained in that concern would like to suggest you that if you can upgrade the firmware of the 2701HG-B.... After upgrading the firmware of the Router,  reset the Router and configure it again....

As far as wireless connection is concern you can make the same settings that you had... Once you done with the Router part, reset the WGA54AG Game Adapter and configure it again and do the same settings as the Router have...

After doing all these settings on both the devices check the connection on the Xbox ....
