Re: Home Network Defender Nightmare

I was told that HND is in the firmware of the router. The only way to chage it is through Network Magic. I reinstalled NM and then disabled HND.

Re: Home Network Defender Nightmare

Please help!!! I desperately want to take off the parental controls on HND! I've tried uninstalling the program but it still haunts my PC!

I reinstalled it, and now its not even under my list of programs to "ADD/REMOVE"!!!

Re: Home Network Defender Nightmare

What happens if the HND configuration does not show up in the Network Magic UI?  I attempted to setup the trial, didn't get the chance to write down the activation code, and now my home network is locked down!  Please send help.

Re: Home Network Defender Nightmare

Heylow, I dont know how this happen but anyway, the part in the router where you see to block sites\time internet use is no longer exist a link no more under http://192.168.1.1/ and the network defender keeps coming up in the site as in http://192.168.1.1/tmWTPBlock.asp Nothin of defender is in under install/uninstall program list. So what the flicking hell is going on? I am unable to locate the disk for this router, i saved a backup for the router, I restored to defaults, trying getting online but says cant go online. W/ the disk, I was able to go by step by step then hook the wireless modem to the router to the computer and got online perfectly. Is there a website location to download the software from the exact disk for this router and then reset the router to default then unhook it, plug the modem wireless back in and then the installation pack.

(what I'm say is starting from scratch.)

Our Router is a: Wireless-N Gigabit Router

Model No. WRT310N V2

Or do we have to submit our address to sent another installation disk to our house?

plz respond ASAP

Re: Home Network Defender Nightmare

I'm having the same issue.  Installed Linksys software on my system, decided it wasn't worth the $40 and uninstalled.  HND is still on my WRT160N router however and I have no idea how to remove it.

Please help.

I've met to come back here but didn't have time, when default, I forgot to clone the mac address on the main lan hook up on the router. lol, but still having dang problems w/ it. I think we decided to get another router of the same brand I think. it was perfectly fine until defender. but when we restored it to default, we got back this peice of site in this router, where we block websites and what time to keep someone out from the internet. but this is a defective router. having problems logging into email and stuff, we want security and disabled cookies and it had a fit on us, not able to log into an site. we went to sites but i mean as the site kept refreshing and different site in the address bar of yahoo.com/login   then try to login and then it says wrong user/pass when it was right.
