Hello everybody I figured it out, how to disable Cisco Home Network Defender.
I work for HP and I just figured this out with a customer I was dealing with.
No need to uninstall or reset your routers.
I will clarify this once I get home if people need me to.
Open Cisco Network Magic Pro
Make sure to set network as PRIMARY network to get access of Home Network Defender(if network not primary, HMD grey'd out)
Under the Control and Monitor TAB on the right, click on:
-- Configure Home Network Defender
-load into the router using Home Network Defender (loading settings from your router) takes a few min
-Log in or create a cisco account
-Click on CONFIGURE HOME NETWORK DEFENDER
Select at the top 'YOUR NETWORK (all devices)
SAFE WEB SURFING
-Slide bar to NONE
Parental Controls
-Slide bar to NONE
Press OK
Test your sites.
Hope this helps everybody
Thanks
bart

What if you don't have the option to click on a tab for Home Network Defender????? My free trial is supposedly up, but the stupid thing is still blocking sights, even though I never set it to block ANYTHING!!!!! I have been trying to disable this for over a week now, and I'm ready to just beat the router to death just to get rid of Home Network Defender!!

since i got the wrt160n v3 last week and signed up for the home network defender as a means to protect against malicious threats (don't need parental controls-no kids) i haven't been able to access some of my school websites or get my lotery numbers because its gambling. i have searched my computer, etc. and haven't even been able to find the home network defender anywhere to change the settings. it never prompted me to do so and i don't know where it is to do so. if this is a sign of what is in store, i want to get rid of it altogether.

My router is WRT160Nv3, Firmware Version: v3.0.02
When I try to turn off the Home Network Defender it asks for an email and password but when I set up the router it never asked for any account information.
I have bought Cisco Network Magic Pro but can't log in the Home Network Defender control panel using my linksys account. Also I tried to use cisco account.
I have had live chat with support about the issue but the support just said me that there have no skill level set.
I'm confused about, HND blocks my work, how can I disable it?

Help! I just authorized the free trial, can't access facebook, don't have an icon to locate an on/off switch. I do not have network magic installed. I want to get rid of this software, and it's not showing up on my control panel as an option to delete from my computer. Someone please tell me how to get rid of this ridiculous thing!!!

Did you ever get an answer? I'm having exactly the same issue. I don't have anything to enter to change the parental controls. And I don't want to change them -- I just want to get rid of it.
