hub

I have purchased a linksys 5 port hub model # nh1005,v2. I have my 2 pcs hooked
up to it. But
I can only connect 1 computer or the other....not both at one time.  I have
tried to give them tcp/ip addresses and tried to run the networking setup but I
cannot make it work...Can you help??? I am running windows xp on both pcs.
Thankyou for your help. I will appreciate any help you can give me.

you require a router instead of the hub that you are using...cause you have only one IP from your ISP....if your do not want to get a router, you will have to ask your ISP for 2 IP's
