NMH410 Import Issues

I just bought this thing and haveing a few issues.

I'm running it with 2 2tb drives as JBOD. It shows 3.6tb but when I use the import tool and select all the folders that I want to import (total of 1.4tb) it doesn't start uploading.

When I first installed it started but only mported one movie and stopped. I have my entire movie collection converted to AVI's and want to use this to stream to my PS3 instead of running a PC.

How to do I get the importer to import???

Also, I tried to manually import the files but it keeps saying that its limited to 1024mb. What HD content is only a gig??? If this thing can stream 3 HD streams, is that only limited to 15 minutes clips??? Most of my files are around 1.2-1.5gig, does that mean I just wasted my money and need to take it back?

PS. Why, in Gods name, does this thing take 15 minutes to reload. Even when empty it takes longer than a 386 to boot. I have a rack of P4 servers that boot faster than this thing.

Thanks

Spuds

Re: NMH410 Import Issues

Hi SpudNuts,

Good Day!

Hope these things can help Using the Import Tool for the Network Media Hub and Configure a Backup Job using NTI Shadow.

Perhaps you can do a hard reset on the Network Media Hub then upgrade the firmware first before importing your files.

Re: NMH410 Import Issues

First thing I did was upgrade the firmware.

I think i'm going to convert back RAID 1 and try again. Worse case, i'm going to try to just map the drive, copy everything to it  via windows explorer and then see what shows up.

I'll use the import tool for pics and such.

Re: NMH410 Import Issues

I've reverted back to RAID 1 and the importer still doesn't work right. I'm doing a copy/paste directly to the video folder and have noticed the the device gets slower with each file added. I just hope that is indexing while the files are being added and will calm down once the database is completed with all files.

I'm at about 560gigs of data, but about 700 more to go.

hello spudnuts,

i think you are right and that it is indexing as you add more files.
