The On-Access anti-virus scanning facility in ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite (all v6 versions up to and including v6.5.722.000) prevents successful printing via a PSUS4. Printing works properly if the On-Access scanning is switched off, but this means there is no AV protection.
When ZAISS On-Access scanning is switched on, the printing process starts OK and prints the first document successfully, but it then hangs and no further documents can be printed.
The PSUS4 may be reset using the BiAdmin facility.
The printing application stops responding and must be closed via the Windows Task Manager; this is very slow indeed, with a dump process consuming all Windows CPU resources.
Has anyone else seen this problem or found a work-around?
