Trying to help my father-in-law attach his LaserJet 4 printer to a linksys WPS54G wireless print server and then attach the print server to a Verizon wireless router (Mifi). At this point I"m running a 25 pin parallel cable directly into the print server with a USB connection. Have tried to reset the print server but it's not printing a default ip address to the printer which makes me wonder if the cable is compatible w/ the Laserjet. Tried to chat w/ live support but the print server is out of warranty so no luck. Would appreciate any ideas on how to accomplish! Tried to run an ethernet connection directly from my Mac to the print server but can't seem to address the device since I'm not sure what the ip address is.
The Verizon wireless router (Mifi) that you mentioned in you post, is it the Verizon Wireless MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot router? Does it have an ethernet port on the Verizon Router? Do you have any wired computer with the router via ethernet connection?
