Helm: I read your posting of 12-20-2009 and found that it worked exactly as you described. I did have the IP address for the print server so that probably helped. It is a shame that Cisco doesn't make this a bit easier as my wife uses the printer from a remote location and I use it with my wireless laptop and found that the Wireless Print Server is a great tool. This way I don't have to locate it adjacent to my desktop and don't have to have my desktop available when my wife wants to print. Thanks for the information.

Thanks much, Helm. I just bought this device, tried for a couple hours to get it working, finally googled, found your post and joy. I need to save these instructions somewhere so I can reinstall when necessary.

You seem to understand this well thank god for someone! Here is my problem after being on the phone with linksys for several hours like others they cannot get my WPSM54G to work on my new Windows 7 computer it still works fine on my Windows XP computer. I tried step by step what you suggested but did not have all the steps you listed. I did not have a "Customer" choice after I entered the IP address.
Do I need to upgrade the firmware on the printserver before trying this? I have the win 7 drivers for the printer which is a HP officejet 6310 already installed.
I really would like to get this to work.
(Mod Note: Edited for guideline compliance.)

Ok after calling linksys and all the trouble for hours I went online and these posting it worked partially for black and white printing but for the pictures printing is not working. Scaning and the rest of the multifunction does not work either so for basic printing it does the job.

I am unable to install the firmware update from the cisco site. I am also unable to get my Windows 7 laptop to install my wireless print serverWPSM54G. Is it possible, since I am running Windows Professional 7, to install the virtual XP and install the wireless server through that option(using XP Service pack 3)?

Still having trouble installing on Win 7. Installed using the setup wizard and that went OK. When I run the setup from the utility folder, it wants to remove everything and start over. Now it won't find the server.
