Can wireless signal be "too strong?"

If I install a range extender, is there a potential problem with possible over-saturation of wireless adapters that are too close to the antenna?

Re: Can wireless signal be "too strong?"

I assume you are asking whether if you put the laptop (w/wireless adapter card) next to the RE will it have an effect on the lifespan of the wireless adapter because of the strong signal? All I can tell you is that I have had a Centrino laptop next to my WIFI router (within a couple of feet) for at least 3 years now with no signs of "burning out". It just says excellent signal and has not complained one bit.

No i don't think that due to different wireless Adapter the range extender stops functioning or providing low signals ...
Let me know what is the actual issue you are facing ....
