I just recently purchase this router and it has brought my expectations down. I installed everything correctly, and wireless signals showed I had excellent connectivity. But when I surfed the web, stream an HD video or download a file it would take an extremely long time for it to load/download. I checked my internet speed and it came up to an average 0.7 download speed and 3.0 update speed. Tried it both wireless and with an ethernet cable but both failed to perform at top speeds. With a pricey router like this, I thought I would at least get the same speed from my old, cheaper linksys router. Cisco said this was an easy setup, but I guess not.

Hello there. Have you tried to check your internet speed behind the modem when you saw that the wired and wireless internet speed on this router was not what you expected? You may want to reset and reconfigure this router. Try to lower the mtu down and see if it will make a difference on the wired internet speed. As for the wireless, try changing the channels: 1,3,6,9. See if those would help.

Additional to above suggestions, do you have any firewall enabled on your computer?

Just ensure that the router is running on the latest firmware. Do a reset on the router, try to lower its MTU size and set the wireless channel to something else. Use also WPA2 security.
