Well I decided to try this camera based on the favorable reviews on Amazon. The installation went well except at the end it did not open the web interface to manage the device. It also failed at the TZO setup, which is used to access the camera via dynamic DNS. I got a very useless message stating that there was a problem with configuring the dynamic dns on the camera. There was a link for more help, but that brought up a web page that had a message that stated "Opps there was an unknown error." The only dynamic dns service on the camera is TZO. I tried using the DNS service with easydns and dyndns.org to no success. What a pain. I purchased this camera so that I would be able to monitor my home remotely, but that part just isn't working out.
I updated the firmware and downloaded the most recent setup program, but no success. I have a camera that I can indeed use while inside of the house, but I still cannot connect to it from the Internet. I tried turning my firewall off among other things. I have Windows 7 on a home network. What a pain I'm sure I'll figure something out, but this is a big hassle trying to get it to work right. I wished I purchased it from a store where I could exchange it for something else.

In case you cannot access the TZO DDNZ sign up portal using button in the cameras setup page, type www.tzo.com/Linksys in the address bar and it will redirect you to the page below.
Select Linksys or Cisco Camera then click NEXT.
Select WVC54GCA then click NEXT.
Select the first option to try TZO DDNS for 1 year then click NEXT.
Replace AUY with AS5 on the camera’s serial number then click NEXT.
Camera has a serial number of AUY07K703144. Replace the first 2 letters with AS5. So you will be registering AS507K703144.
Create the domain you want to use in accessing the camera remotely then click NEXT.
Enter the email address where you want to receive settings, notifications or updates from TZO then click NEXT.
As soon as you get a CONGRATULATIONS page, check the email you selected to check if you received the TZO settings.
