Are you having this problem when your computer was connected hardwired or wirelessly to the router? What you can do though is first connect your computer to the modem and check if the internet connection from there is stable. If the connection from the modem is stable then connect the computer back to the to the router. Check the router's firmware and if the router's firmware is not yet updated, then upgrade the router's firmware. Reset,power cycle and then reconfigure the router's settings. Have one computer connected hardwired and one computer connected wireless to observe the performance of the router.
