Installing SPA2102 w/ DLink wireless router

I'm trying to connect my ATA and phones to use VoIP

I have a DLink wireless router to connect to a wireless ISP.  I powered everything off, connected the phone cable, connected an Ethernet cable from an Ethernet port on the ATA to my laptop, and connected another Ethernet cable from the Internet port to a LAN port on my DLink router.  My DLink router is connected to the internet via its Internet port.

I powered on my internet radio connection, then my DLink router, then my LinkSys SPA2102-NA ATA, and finally my computer.

When I open my browser and type in htttp://192.168.0.1/advanced (as directed in the ATA instructions) I get my DLink router screen rather than the LinkSys ATA screen.

Can you help me throught this, so I can connect my VoIP

There are problably a number of different ways to do what you want to do.

I would attach the pc to the your DLink router directly along with the SPA2102 ata.  I would use the IVR to determine the IP Address of the SPA2102 and I would use the IVR to Enable Web Server of the SPA (7932# 1# 1) and then access the SPA2102 using the ip address that the DLink router gave to the SPA2102.

Re: Installing SPA2102 w/ DLink wireless router

DLINK has a default 192.168.0.x address whihc is also the address for the SPA2102.

try this

disconnect the connection from the DLINK first

connect you PC to the SPA2102 LAN port ( ETHERNET or YELLOW port) then access 192.168.0.1.

change the LOCAL IP address of the SPA2102 to 192.168.2.1 and enable the WEB SERVER as well.

and then you can follow what HW said as it is the recommended setup.

thanks for the help.  I already got that idea after checking over posts and the manual, and it worked
