I have an unlocked SPA2100 running on the Virgimedia broadband service and while I have managed to get it working through various manuals I've found there are a few calls that give some funny problems that makes me think I need to fine tune the config.
Has anyone got one of these working in ViginMedia or have setting specific to UK use that can help me? For the most part it seems to work properly but with some calls I get the following:-
Ring tone duplicates (you can hear tow ringtones sometimes)
When answeing second ringtone continues for 10 or 15 seconds
Other person can sometimes hear this second ringtone when answering.
People calling me hear a second ringtone but I don't
Calls can take a long while to connect (sometimes you don't hear anything until person picks up)
Any help appriciated.

You May try to check your regional setting for your SPA2100. I Believe this is the reason why the rings are like that.

Tried the suggested settings but they didn't work, no dial tone just noise. Had to return them to the original config. Looking at the differences each of my settings has a - after the @ symbol. I took these out to try but the unit didn't work until I put them back in. A caller today said they could hear the ring tone when they called me, they tried twice and it happned both times but I couldn't hear it.
Below are my current working Voice Regional Settings do you see any problems or anyone else reading this post. Would be interesting to compare against someone with a service provider supplied version.

No the standard settings are US biased for dial tone, ring tone, call plan etc etc and it didn't really work at all. I think I have it close now but there are a few odd ball issues that happen sometimes but not all the time which makes me wonder if it's the SPA here or just a Virgin broadband clitch at times. That said when I use Skype it's perfect so that's what I'm comparing it with really.
When I originally bought this SPA2100 I thought it was a straight VOIP box and in common use here in the UK. When trying to set it up I found out that they are not normally sold to the public but under OEM arrangements with telecom companies who pre-configure them to work only on their systems and then lock them down. (well that's what Linksys said to me)
I thought maybe more of these were in use in the UK, certainly the two line support in one box is great as I run two different numbers for me and my wife for different company home calls. With the Tesco VOIP service and paying £2.95 a month we get all land line calls to 01 02 03 numbers free, even mobile calls are only 10p a minute and if there are a number of them you can buy an add-on to get them cheaper. My wife has been doing business calls all afternoon and it's cost 94p.
So if anyone else has an SPA2100 on the Virginmedia network or uses Tesco VOIP with this box would be interested in any settings they have found that work well.
