Partial Internet connectivity problem with WRTP54G wireless router

I have lost internet connectivity on my PC (XP), which is connected to the WRTP54G router via one of the Ethernet ports, however I still have internet connectivity for my wireless laptop via the same router.  I have ruled out defective cables as the cause.

Any suggestions?

Try a different ethernet port on the router or change the ethernet cable...make sure local area connection on that computer is enabled...Also you can connect that computer straight to your modem and check if you could go online...May be your Laptop is connected to some other(neighbour's) network and not yours...

Re: Partial Internet connectivity problem with WRTP54G wireless router

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I've already tried them to no avail.  My laptop is definitely recognizing and using the wireless network being generated from the linksys unit (it's not a neighbor's network).

It appears the only component of the router that's not working is the ethernet connection from the router to the pc.  Very strange.

Any other ideas?
