spa3102 t38 works then doesnt on different network

hi guys,

im having a strange issue here.

i configured a linksys3102 with firmware 5.1.10 and all these t38 settings:

a) “Call Waiting Serv” : Set this to No
b) “Three Way Call Serv” : Set this to No as well.
c) Network Jitter Level – Very High
d) Jitter Buffer Adjustment – Disable
e) Set the PreferredCodec to G711u
f) Set “Silence Suppression Enable” to No
g) Make sure that the option FAX Enable T38 is set to Yes. (Default setting is Yes)
h) “Echo Canc Enable” should be set to No
i) Set the option “Fax Passthru Method” to REINVITES.

then i setup asterisk to be the t38 gateway using t38modem app... (dont worry about this part too much)

however when i send fax in my office from asterisk to linksys it recieves it fine.

then i take it to customer network and send fax from asterisk to linksys (using same fax machine) and it just stays at ulaw, it doesnt switch from audio mode to t38...

anyone know:

a) what could cause this

b) is there a way to force t38 always on a line

Try to reset the SPA3102 and reconfigure it again.

okay i just found the new site didnt have a time server so i set that up and pointed linksys to it but still same issue.

where can i find more info on t38 function of linksys such as what udp port range does it use, how to set max bitrate etc?
