EG1064 and 32 bit PCI slot

Will the EG1064 work in a smaill PCI slot?  Only about half of the pins will be in the slot...  I was told by tech support it will but I have no confidence in the answer as it sounds like they are reading a script and don't really know what they are saying.  I cannot find any documentation that supports this on the web site.

Re: EG1064 and 32 bit PCI slot

Further, tech suport says the EG1032 and EG1064 perform the same just "one has more pins"!  They say the 1032 will not work in a 64 bit slot???  I thought 64 bit slots were both 32 & 64 bits?  So if they perform the same why have the 1064 at twice the price?  Can someone give me a real explaination of what I am giving up by using a 32 bit adapter?  What kind of real throughput are you looking at on the 1032 vs 1064?  How does that compare to a PCIe or 1 X? adapter?  Thanks.

Re: EG1064 and 32 bit PCI slot

Hi , the slot that you have on your motherboard...seems to be a PCIE (PCI Express) slot.....the EG1064 requires a PCI slot....
The PCI express is a newer thecnology and as a result a normal PCI card will not work on it.....hence the EG1064 will not work on the slots you have on your motherboard.
