BEFSR41 resets password to default by itself.

what is causing for this to happen and how can I prevent it from not happening again?

Thank you very much for welcoming me here. So far, I haven't upgraded the firmware yet. I am in the process of doing it. I will come back here if the problem persists.

Download the latest firmware from Linksys website and upgrade it on your router.

After upgrading the firmware on the router, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure it.

Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 10 seconds. power cycle the router and reconfigure it.

I have installed your router but still cannot get the internet on my small computer.  I have doubled checked the hookup and I still cannot get on the internet.  What am I dooing wrong.  Please help

Please press and hold the reset button at the back panel of the router for 30 seconds then turn if off and back on again.

@rodeftov2, who is your internet service provider? Is it cable or DSL?
