Cannot connect to internet through router.

Hi, I have a WRT54GS router, and starting today I am completely unable to access the internet through it. If I connect my computer directly to my modem, I can access the internet, but if I try to connect through the modem, all I get is "DNS server not responding".

I've tried ipconfig /release, /dnsflush, /renew, but it doesn't help.

I've tried changing the DNS server address on the router configuration page, but it doesn't help.

Here's what my ipconfig /all shows:

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /all

Re: Cannot connect to internet through router.

It could be a firmware issue. You just need to ensure router’s firmware is updated.

IP Address:

If you have a router, common examples would be:

192.168.0.x, 192.168.1.x or 10.0.0.x

If you are directly connected to your DSL or Cable Modem, you should have an IP address that would correspond to something from your ISP.

DNS Servers:

Make sure you have the correct DNS Servers.

Sometimes this is the IP address of your router, so it would be the same as the Gateway IP.

Re: Cannot connect to internet through router.

It looks as if there is no connection from your router to your ISP (Defualt Gateway).  I would say to update the fireware if available then reconfigure the router to your ISP (DSL?cable) settings.
