I have a linksys router and a AE1000 adapter. When I first plugged in the adapter I had internet problems, always had to reconnect it. Then suddenly it worked flawlessly online and in video games. Now youtube videos load slower and I will get random lag spikes in game that last 5-7 seconds. I have done nothing to change the adapter, it just does this out of random. Help please

How many wireless devices you currently have? Can you try to connect to another network to check if you have the same issue? What’s the model of your router?

I have similar problem.
In web navigation no problems, it's ingame, some regular lags, maybe 1/2s lag every minute.
My router isn't the problem, because all worked fine before changing the wireless adapter for a Cisco AE1000.
The driver is Linksys AE1000 v 3.0.10.0
I'm in 2.4 GHz (i'm in France, impossible 5GHz...) WPA2 PSK and using W7 Pro x64.
I'm French so sorry for the system language and for my bad english, but can thoose options change anything?
Thanks,
Martin

What you need to do is to update the adapter driver to the latest version. I think that is not updated.

I looked at my router, all I could find is "Samsung SBG6580". My internet is usually around 120 Mbps.

also I can't connect to any other networks, they all have passwords, and this is the only wireless device connecting to the router. Sometimes when I'm going through webpages it loses connection and I have to disconnect and reconnect it, not very much though

By the way, what is the model number of your router and can you also tell us the wireless settings that was set on your router.

Samsung SBG6580 is all I see on the router, and I don't know wha the wireless settings are. How do I find out?

I'm not sure on how to check the wireless settings of the router but usually you need to access the user's interface to check on that. I would suggest to ask assistance from the router manufacturer and perhaps set these wireless settings. Use 2.4Ghz and channel 9 as the standard channel. Then set the wireless security into wpa2-personal/psk.
