Before I suggest you for any troubleshooting steps, I would like to ask few questions. Like – in which Windows you are trying to install the adapter? Try to install the adapter manually and then check the connectivity status… Here are the steps:
# Click on Start --> Run and in the run box type "devmgmt.msc" and click Ok...
# Device manager window will appear and in that check for the Linksys adapter.. Right-click on the name of the Adapter that you want to install and click Update Driver Software…
# A window will appear asking “How do you want to search for the driver software?".. Click “Browse my computer for driver software"..
# Select the option “Search for driver software in this location “then click on Browse..
# Select the CD driver for the Adapter drivers and click on next button...
After doing the following process check the connectivity status..

Maybe because you have an incomplete installation? Try to uninstall previous installation from the Control Panel. Here are some guides I searched for you. I hope it can help:
Setting up a Linksys Wireless-N adapter - Try to follow the correct installation procedure
P.S. so long as you are doing an installation procedure, make sure to temporarily disable the Firewall/Anti-Virus program of your PC. A lot of people have difficulties trying to install and then these firewall programs just block it. Re-activate the programs only once you are done with the installation.
Best of luck!
