Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter WUSB54GC OSX 10.4.11 PPC

Linksys does not support Mac OSX by providing drivers for this device. However RalinkTech sells *almost* the same device as RT2501U... and the drivers RalinkTech provides works with just a little modification to some text files that instruct the computer witch devices the driver is compatible with :smileyhappy:

Re: Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter WUSB54GC OSX 10.4.11 PPC

I am a Mac user trying to follow these instructions on how to get my Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter to work with my computer. Unfortunately I don't have much experience editing files like this. Could anyone give me more detailed instructions or perhaps screenshots of how to edit the file. I have the terminal and file open, but I'm not sure how or what to type from there. Thanks! :smileyhappy:

Re: Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter WUSB54GC OSX 10.4.11 PPC

Apparently this does work but I'm the same I have no experience of editing in Terminal, if someone could post a more comprehensive walk through I'd be very grateful.

My old Belkin PCI card won't fit into the pci-x slots in my G5 and I was told I can use a Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB to connect to my Belkin router. I don't think there's any other way of connecting to the router, slightly fustrating having my best machine offline too!
