WPG54G V3 on Win XP Laptop

I'm having difficulty getting my adapter to stay active whenever I switch users (without logging off), in Win XP.  Upon switching users, the adapter goes inactive.

Once the adapter is inactive, it's a bear to enable.

Is there any solution for this?

Re: WPG54G V3 on Win XP Laptop

In this case uninstall the adapter completely from computer…

Click start >> programs >> wireless g USB adapter >> uninstall

Put the CD for adapter and restart the computer… once pc reboots it will show found new hardware…you need to install the drivers only…no need to install WLAN software..use the windows wireless connection software to connect to the wireless networks....

So whenever you switch the users it will pick up wireless signals automatically…

Yo, Helm,

Your suggestion did the trick.  I had to "restore" the Win XP wireless connection zero configuration in the services before I could get it back.

After the uninstall, I had no joy on the wireless connection.  When I clicked the wireless icon on my taskbar monitor, Win popped up a message which read that I needed to review a Microsoft KB article, I forget the article number.

I hit my desktop in my basement and looked the article up.  All downhill from there.

Thanks, Chief.
