Re: WUSB600N linux driver

Well Linksys does not have the Linux drivers for the adapter WUSB600N in that case would suggest you to use the adapter with the XP Operating system.

Well in that case I would be reluctant to buy the product, and would recommend against buying it for all my friends as well. arnie99

Re: WUSB600N linux driver

you can use ndiswrapper. it allows you to use windows drivers on linux. i'm using ubuntu and it works, but i'm not sure if it isn't a little bit slower...

Re: WUSB600N linux driver

Sup, Kacper86.  I'm also using Ubuntu 8.04 and ndiswrapper. My connection sometimes works, somtimes doesn't work. Other than installing the driver, is there anything else you did to get it to work?  My connection cuts out after about an hour, but sometimes it's less time.  I can post any of my system logs if that would help you understand it.  I see a lot of stuff in my logs relating to ndiswrapper just about the time it cuts out.  Thanks!

Re: WUSB600N linux driver

hi!

i didn't check the stability of this card (and this driver) on linux, but i'll do that for you. About your problem - have you tried other wireless cards? they are working fine? maybe change channel in your router (check 6 & 13)?

I also use a Belkin F5D7050 that doesn't really get the speed I am afforded but it usually has 100% uptime.  I can't mess w/ the access points because I'm on a campus and they are the school's AP's.  Any more detailed about my information can be found at http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5901100&postcount=7  Thanks!

All the more reason for Linksys to show support to the linux community and develop a driver that works in linux. I was hoping to use this adapter with kismet, that's why Ndiswrapper won't work.

Re: WUSB600N linux driver

This guy says his works flawlessly: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5944052&postcount=4

I'm not sure if it's my version or kernel or whatever.  I'm still troubleshooting the issue.  Someone else advised me to move the USB adapter to a USB Hub with its own power source.  I may try that as well.
