WUSB600n Wireless Adapter installation issues

So, I bought a used WUSB600N Wireless Adapter and am having difficulty installing it. Of course, there was no installation CD to go with it, so I went to the website to download the drivers and updates and still can't get it to install.

Help!! I am ready to pull out my hair!!!! Thank you to anyone who can assist with this problem.

Re: WUSB600n Wireless Adapter installation issues

If you do not have the CD for the wireless USB adapter then you can download the drivers for the Linksys/Cisco website or can download it from the following link: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/adapters/WUSB600N. Then install the adapter manually. Here are the steps:

# Click on Start --> Run and in the run box type "devmgmt.msc" and click Ok...

# Device manager window will appear and in that check for the Linksys adapter.. Right-click on the name of the Adapter that you want to install and click Update Driver Software…

# A window will appear asking “How do you want to search for the driver software?".. Click “Browse my computer for driver software"..

# Select the option “Search for driver software in this location “then click on Browse..

# Select the driver that you Downloaded and click on next button...
