I fixed my Cisco Valet Plus M20 router [ Edited ]

I had the same things going as a lot of you. Dropped network, internet, slow internet.

1. It was my 2.5 year old cable modem. It was doing the dropping the network and internet.

2. Internet speed was only 5.30mbps down load. What I did was to turn off safe surfing and update firmware.

    Speed went from 5.3mbps to 30.65mbps.

My PC is on Windows 7

I'm assuming that this is a setting in the docsis modem.  How do you access settings in the modem?  I've never been able to.
