This norning I noticed a different icon indicating network status. Up until now, I had 4 green bars, showing signal strength. Now I have what looks like a monitor with a 3-pronged fork at the upper left corner of the monitor icon. What does this mean? My internet access is working fine. Thanks.

Well before I suggest you for any troubleshooting steps, I would like to ask few questions? Like – let me know which Window you are running on the computer? Is that a wireless Laptop or a Desktop? What is the make of the computer?
Well, you can just right click over the Icon and you will get the information of the Icon status…

I have a Gateway, running windows 7. My router is a Cisco Valet. The new icon disappeared and the regular one with the standard bar indicator returned. I never did figure out what the other icon meant.
Thanks for helping
